about

After "Cumulonimbus" i made more ambient/darkambient drone tracks. I started out with "The soviet state of alaska" and somewhat later "Thirst". "The siege of Washington DC" in a first version is also from this time. We talking end 2000 here. After that i lost interest in this project for a while. In those days i started visiting industrial parties and was exposed to stuff like Converter, P.A.L., Asche, Morgenstern and so on. I already had industrial techno records, and had in the 90's experimented with industrial, so i decided to have a go with it.

"Rabbit trap" or "Sub-domain" were the first tracks i made. Can't remember which one i did first. After those i made "Etched screens" (it also contains a sample from one of my earlier industrial projects) and "Pump exercise". I was very content with that one, because it was almost as brutal as the ant-zen stuff i just discovered. Finally i made a version of "The siege of washington DC" with extra o0ntz and i released it. The album got some good reception on internet music sites.

This album marks the shift from darkambient to rhytmnic industrial. Most albums after this would be harsch industrial. "Thirst" and "Pump exercise" would be in the sets of the first few liveshows we played.
