Cumulonimbus 12:45

In june 2000 i bought a version of CuBase VST 3.5. I already made music with hardware synths and drummachines, which i recorded to analogue tape. This program enabled me to multitrack on the computer. Not only that, but it also had lots of FX, so i started experimenting with processing sounds, vocals and loops. On the 4th and 5th of June 2000 i created 6 tracks, which make up this album.

I had seen the name "The Peoples Republic of Europe" in an old episode of Mission Impossible, and kept it in mind for a possible EBM band i wanted to form. But decided to use it for these recordings.
I uploades some of the stuff to Soundclick ( an old music community. It is still there!) and got some good reactions on it. Little did i know about the adventures this would lead to.....

The album has been mastered for this digital rerelease and has also different artwork from the 2000 edition. It also has a few minor glitches, as i had to rip this back to harddisk a few years back and the disc had already started to degrade. That disc is unplayable now, as are (to my knowledge) all other copies of the original edition. Despite this i hope you enjoy it!
