Gravity machine

by The Peoples Republic of Europe

Now what is this? A totally UNKNOWN album by tPROE? Yes, you guessed it right! Like the KLF and Pink Floyd, we too have a missing album!

Originally this was not a tPROE album. I had set up a soloproject called "Subduction Zone" and was making heavy drones with it much like an electronic version of Sunn o))). I had already released an EP on a 3" CDr with this project, and i used edited and remastered versions of those for "Solipsism". It seems logical to release the album as well as a tPROE album.

Gravity machine was meant to be a limited edition of 23 copies on CDr in a DVD box. I made five of them, and sold or gave one to a reporter of Gothtronic (Nanhold) who wrote a favorable review of it. Other then that no more copies were made and the release is therefor very very obscure. Only Nanhold has one, and i have 4 here.

The album was made at the same time i was working on the first real CD album "Juche". Originally some songs (like "The death and dismemberment of G.I.Joe") were ment to be on "Juche" but i released them on this one. Looking back i think releasing the material on "Juche" (the G.I.Joe song anyway) might have been better but no looking back. It is here now!

This album is more a missing part in the "Cumulonimbus" serie. Say part 1.5 or so. It's darkambient and drones, but also very noisy. I might have recycled some material for later tPROE releases so if something sounds familiar you know why that is.
